Originally from Mexico and Colombia, Mario holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of New South Wales. He began his career working in respected design studios including Innovarchi and the global architectural practice Woods Bagot.
Mario brings a wealth of experience across both performance and production, having worked as a Stage Manager on a range of activations and large-scale productions with leading organisations such as TEG Live, as well as government and private events.
In May 2005, Mario made a pivotal career move when he attended open auditions for the Latin American Wiggles. Successfully securing a role as one of the Wiggly Dancers, he went on to perform internationally for audiences around the world, appearing in numerous Wiggles DVDs and television series. His leadership and organisational strengths also led him to take on the role of Tour Manager for the company.
His additional performance credits include productions such as The Kingdom of Paramithi (Channel Nine), Antonio’s Baby Circus (ABC), and ZingZillas Live Concerts (CBeebies Australia).
In 2010, Mario co-founded Pistachio Entertainment with his partner Emily. As Manager, he oversees the creative direction and development of concepts, talent sourcing and casting, performer training, and the delivery of events from initial planning through to execution. He manages client relationships and bookings while also leading on-site coordination, show calling, and overall production management.
